A Queer History of Fashion, the book, honored by the Costume Society of America We are pleased to announce that MFIT director and chief curator Valerie Steele received the 2014 Millia Davenport Publication Award for the book A Queer History of Fashion: From the Closet to the Catwalk, published by Yale University Press. The award is given to a publication that makes a significant contribution to the study of costume and reflects original thought and exceptional creativity.
