Academic Research Appointments

Access to the collections is by appointment only. The Museum at FIT is able to accommodate individual academic research appointments to qualified applicants. All appointments are at the discretion of Museum staff. Not all requests can be accommodated due to the condition of objects and/or other internal factors.

Qualified applicants consist of all FIT students, graduate level students from other universities, and professional academics doing research for a not-for-profit venture. Please allow staff at least two weeks’ notice to process and schedule your request.

FIT Graduate Students

FIT graduate students may make an appointment to see objects from the permanent or study collections. Please be specific as to your request (for example: designer, description, and year).
