A Chat with the Central Park Five
Submitted by: Professor Bernard L. Dillard, Department of Science and Mathematics
This project brought to the F.I.T. community three members of the Central Park Five, men whose lives were torn apart by trials, wrongful convictions and fights for justice. Joined by filmmaker Sarah Burns, a 30-minute excerpt of the documentary The Central Park Five was presented and was followed by a discussion of the film which covered not only topics specific to the case, which still resonates today, but also engaged and fostered a greater discussion on race and tolerance.
