PVH Corporation Scholarship Application
Through the fundraising efforts of the ITM Advisory Board, PVH Corp. has endowed,
in perpetuity, two scholarships to cover educational expenses for ITM students. PVH is one of the world's largest and most admired fashion companies, connecting with
consumers in over 40 countries. Global brands include Calvin Klein and TOMMY HILFIGER.
Ralph Lauren Corporation Scholarship Application
Through the fundraising efforts of the ITM Advisory Board, Ralph Lauren Corporation
(RL), and other donors, ITM has established the Ralph Lauren Corp. ITM Scholarship Fund, which this year will support three scholarships for ITM students.
This scholarship was created in honor of Mr. Donald Baum, RL's then Senior Vice President (former Executive Vice President) of Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, and ITM’s 2009 Global Sourcing Executive of the Year honoree. Through generous donations from RL and its business associates, the endowed fund finances three scholarships per school year in perpetuity. In the past, each scholarship ranged from $4,000 to $5,700.
Jacqueline and Russell Pomeranz ITM Scholarship Application
In memory of Jacqueline Pomeranz (mother of Russell, husband of Prof. Christine Pomeranz’s). Ms.
Pomeranz was a career counselor at a community college in Cleveland, Ohio, guiding
students to pursue professional paths according to their natural talents, studies,
and aspirations. Her last decade was spent at her retirement community, interviewing
co-residents at the local radio station, welcoming new members, and selecting undergraduate
scholars with compelling stories. A lifelong athlete in biking, tennis, weight lifting and steps climbing
Mr. Pomeranz was an accomplished non-profit expert, who mentored executives in connecting finance and assets to mission. He was a published author of peer-reviewed essays, a frequent public speaker on the philanthropic circuit, and headed many community organizations. A consummate cricket player with equally admirable skills in tennis, basketball, softball, and other sports, he was praised for his wit, smarts, winning smile, and talent for lending levity to serious negotiations.
With donations from various donors to honor the life of the Pomeranzes, this fund finances one scholarship of at least $4,225.
New Times Group ITM Scholarship Fund Application
This scholarship was raised in honor of Mr. Donald Baum, Polo Ralph Lauren Corp.'s
then Senior Vice President (former Executive Vice President) of Global Sourcing and
Manufacturing, ITM’s 2009 Global Sourcing Executive of the Year honoree. With a gift
from New Times Development Limited, this endowed fund finances one scholarship per
school year in perpetuity. The scholarship awards have ranged from $2,000 to $2,600.
Gemini Shippers Association Scholarship Application
This scholarship, the first of its kind for ITM students, was generously funded by Gemini Shippers Association through the efforts of Sara Mayes, its President and ITM Advisory Board member. Each
scholarship has financed $1,250 to $2,800 in educational expenses per school year.
World Trade Week NYC Scholarship Application
Every year, the President of the United States declares the third full week of May
as World Trade Week to underscore the importance of international trade to the U.S.
economy. World Trade Week NYC created this scholarship, with the financial backing
of the New York District Export Council (NYDEC), to encourage the next generation
of business leaders to pursue an undergraduate academic program that will help them
build the skills and knowledge they need to be successful and contribute to the region’s
economy. The $1,000 scholarship is intended to benefit high-achieving undergraduate
students who attend New York institutions of higher education that are members of
the New York District Export Council.
