Create Experiential Environments
This micro-credential is perfect for non-designers interested in the tools and theory necessary for the development of retail-related visual presentations and spaces applying digital concepts. It combines design process management, experiential design, and business development. Course of study includes design-thinking principles for collaboration and display practice applications for experiential settings.
The curriculum consists of the four courses listed below and can be completed in as little as two semesters. Courses can be taken in any order, so you can start with any course that is offered in the upcoming term.
The complete tuition is $1,320 for New York State residents and $3966 for out-of-state residents. There is a one-time nonrefundable $65 registration fee, plus additional per-semester fees as noted at the time of registration.

DD 115 Design Management Collaboration

Teaches collaborative design management and how it applies to different disciplines
to non-designers interested in production development, merchandising, architecture,
promotion design, and experience design. Utilizes individual research and team-building
projects that develop collaboration and communication skills.
DD118 Environments and Experiences
2.0 credits
In state $440.00 Out of state $1,322.00
The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the designed environment
and intended experiences by exploring different physical spaces. This course will
focus on historic and cultural references and design philosophies, as well as visual
and verbal design communication skills. This course is oriented towards non-designers
who are intending to work in the design industry or with designers, either as business
developers, accounts and marketing managers, or strategic planners.
DE 101 Principles of Display and Exhibit Design: Small Scale
2.0 credits
In state $440.00 Out of state $1,322.00
For students not majoring in Spatial Experience Design. Basic hands-on display methods
used in visual merchandising and an understanding of two- and three-dimensional design
practices and materials.
