  • 3D printing: The FabLab has four MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printers. These are  hobbyist-level 3D printers that print inexpensive models made of PLA plastic filament (a corn based bio-plastic) using Fused-Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology.

    With proper preparation, they can produce good results for basic models, but they are limited by their low detail level and support material that can be time-consuming to remove.
