The Student Government Association's Sustainability Committee will be promoting the upcoming week’s events, sharing on-campus sustainability resources, promoting FIT's Sustainability Council, and hosting a plant giveaway. Make sure to stop by for more information!
Tuesday, April 26
Green Space Tour/Garden Cleanup
1–2 pm, Feldman Center Rooftop Garden
Students will have the opportunity to visit the garden on campus, learn about the importance, get involved with GrowNYC, and be able to take home a small plant to bring some life into their living space.
Documentary Screening
All day, FIT Dining Hall
Come join us for a screening of the documentary Food for the Rest of Us, a film that follows the story of four individuals who use food to lead a revolution for a better future.
Wednesday, April 27
Earth Things First Panel with Graduate Fellows
5–6 pm, Virtual
The director of the DTech Lab and FIT Graduate Fellows will be speaking about sustainability and how they prioritize it in their projects, work, and personal lives.
Thursday, April 28
Mending and Repair Workshop
1–2 pm, Feldman Center, Room C701, and Virtual
Join Fashion Design faculty and Sustainability Council students for a hybrid workshop where students will have the opportunity to learn and repair a pre-loved garments.
