Academic Divisions
Five academic divisions make up the Fashion Institute of Technology and contribute to its academic excellence and outstanding reputation. FIT is a college in the State University of New York system.

School of Art and Design
The School of Art and Design offers 17 majors to more than 3,800 students pursuing careers in fashion, art, and a wide range of design fields.

Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology
The Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology serves nearly 4,000 students in 10 different majors with a focus on business in fashion and related professions.

School of Liberal Arts and Sciences
The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers two majors, in addition to hundreds of classes designed to broaden your understanding of the humanities; strengthen critical thinking and communication skills; provide knowledge of the natural and social sciences; and equip you to function effectively in a culturally diverse world.

School of Graduate Studies
A vital part of FIT’s rich educational mix, the School of Graduate Studies provides advanced professional education and works with industries worldwide to promote entrepreneurship and strategic collaborations.

Center for Continuing and Professional Studies
The Center for Continuing and Professional Studies offers credit and noncredit courses in fashion, business, design, computer technology, and marketing, as well as a number of certificate programs for working adults.
