FIT is global. Diversity, cross-cultural connection, and global awareness are central to FIT's mission. We aim to provide an international experience for every student through travel abroad, intercultural activities on campus, or virtual international programs. FIT provides many global initiatives that support our community in living, learning, and engaging with those from a variety of backgrounds.

So go global. Explore the world. And find your place in it.

Creativity Knows No Borders

We offer a range of programs on and off campus that foster global perspectives. They’re set up so that most students can fit an international experience into their schedule, whether by studying or interning abroad or participating in a virtual program on campus.

Study abroad opportunities include yearlong fashion business and design programs on FIT’s own campuses in Florence and Milan. Or you could spend a semester in Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mexico City, or Paris. Short programs range from International Buying and Marketing in London to Japanese conversation in Tokyo and Kyoto to textile design in the Andes, and more. These are just a few of our more than 100 study abroad locations worldwide. International internships are available for credit in many places too.
