Campus, Facilities, and Museum
Access to FIT Buildings
Masks Required
Regardless of vaccination status, all students, employees, and visitors are required to wear masks while in all spaces in FIT buildings, including 236 West 27th Street and 333 Seventh Avenue. The single exception is when you are in an office alone or when you are eating and drinking. Mask-wearing will continue until further notice in order to protect those who are unvaccinated and to ensure extra protection for everyone. If you arrive on campus without a mask, you will be given one by a Public Safety officer.
Social Distancing
Social distancing requirements have been eliminated. Mask-wearing is enforced to protect the unvaccinated. All classroom and work spaces are set for standard capacity levels.
FIT IDs and Semester Stickers
All entrances to FIT properties—including 236 West 27th Street, and Floors 13–16 at 333 Seventh Avenue—are open and staffed with Public Safety officers. To gain access, employees and returning students must show an FIT ID with a fall 2022 sticker.
Cleaning and Ventilation
FIT continues to meet and exceed all ventilation standards and is thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of New York, and SUNY.
Read an FAQ about the health and safety standards of FIT's facilities.
