Residential Students

FIT requires all students living in campus-operated residence halls to be fully vaccinated. There are limited medical and religious exemptions. Additional details about housing safety guidelines and procedures and medical and religious exemption information are sent to all residential students by Residential Life.

International Students

FIT has been approved by SUNY to accept vaccinations received from outside the United States as long as they are COVID-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). A vaccine is approved if "Finalized" appears in the column titled "Status of Assessment.”

If you are unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in your country of residence, you will be permitted to enter the U.S., provided that you follow U.S. travel advisory guidelines in effect at the time of travel. Upon your arrival, FIT expects that you will obtain a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible. You may receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at FIT or you may receive any FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine at vaccine sites throughout the U.S. International students are required to participate in routine testing until their vaccination course is completed.
