Biography

Sarah Byrd received her BA from the University of Tennessee where she focused on costume design and has an MA from FIT. She works as an archivist, curator, and fashion historian. Sarah curated Time & Place, a site-specific installation on the connections between clothing, photography, and memory and continues to develop small exhibitions for unusual spaces. She is currently teaching the two-term exhibition course in the program. Her experience as an archivist ranges from small designers to larger corporations including Conde Nast and Ralph Lauren, where she helped develop the menswear archive.
